Laura Elizabeth Chaney Davis of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 3, 1984 at Cleveland, Mississippi, the daughter of Patricia Sampley Bearden, Chester and Dianne Williams and the late Larry Wayne Chaney, Sr. Laura was an accomplished trumpeter and pianist and was a member of Mudstruck Riding Association. She was cherished by many people and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of countless family and friends. Her greatest joy was being “Mom” to her two precious daughters.
Laura died Monday, April 9, 2012 in Little Rock at the age of 27. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Wayne Chaney, Sr., brother, James Earl Houston and her husband, Ronnie Davis.
Survivors: Daughters, Lela Grace Davis and Jamie Annalynn Davis; parents, Patricia Bearden of Monticello and Chester and Dianne Williams of Grapevine; brothers, Ray Williams of Grapevine and Larry Chaney, Jr. of Cleveland, Mississippi; sisters, Kendra Bradford of Grapevine, Valerie Tucker of Grapevine and Jillian Chaney of Monticello; grandparents, Henry and Louise Peacock of Star City, J.E. and Una Sampley of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Dorothy Williams of Sheridan and Elodia Chaney of Cleveland, Mississippi; special niece, Brittany Bradford Graves of Sheridan; very close friends, Samantha Hedden, Amber Sullivan, Debra Brunner and numerous other family and friends. Pallbearers: Blake Williams, Luke Williams, Cole Bradford, Aaron Graves, Juston Thompson, Hunter Tucker, Austin Tucker and Chris Lisenbey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 13, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with Rev. Keith Pennington and her uncle, Eddie Joe Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, near Grapevine. Visitation: Thursday, 6:00-8:00 P.M.
