Sheridan

Adam Jared McQueen, age 48, of Sheridan, Arkansas, passed away on October 5, 2026, and went home to be with Jesus.

Adam was born September 1, 1978, in Richmond, Kentucky, to Judy Ward Holtz and the late Henry Clay McQueen.

Adam had a passion for computers and video games from an early age. His love and talent for computers became his career, and he was proud to work at Kohler in Sheridan, Arkansas, where he served as a Senior Automation Analyst. He truly enjoyed his work and was very talented in his field.

Above all, Adam was a devoted father. His sons, Addison and Nathan McQueen, were the greatest pride and joy of his life. They were his whole world, and being their father was one of the most important parts of who Adam was.

In September 2025, Adam suffered a massive heart attack followed by two strokes. He faced many difficult challenges during the nearly 13 months that followed. Through it all, Adam continued to be surrounded by love, prayers, and the support of those who cared deeply for him.

Adam is survived by his sons, Addison McQueen and Nathan McQueen of White Hall, Arkansas; his mother, Judy Holtz of Sheridan, Arkansas; his sister, Jessica Woolley, and brother-in-law, Chip Woolley, of Sheridan, Arkansas; and his brother, Clay McQueen of London, Kentucky.

He is also survived by his nieces, Amanda (Andrew) Scully of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Hayli (Drew) Davis of Benton, Arkansas; nephews, Jordan (Stella) Woolley of Sheridan, Arkansas, and Weston McQueen of London, Kentucky; great-nieces, Rylie and Zoe Scully, Ella and Lottie Woolley; great-nephew, Jett Woolley; and his great-nephew, Adley Davis, who is on the way.

Adam is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends, who shared special memories and meaningful moments with him throughout his life. He was blessed by the love and friendship of many people, and each one held a special place in his life and heart.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Henry Clay McQueen; his maternal grandparents, Gearldine and Ray Ward; and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Rosie McQueen.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to the nurses and caregivers who provided Adam with compassion, kindness, care, and support throughout his journey: Brittany H., Tracy R., Mari W., Mandy R., Angelique H., Undrea W., Keona, and Jeremy. Their dedication and willingness to help Adam and his family during such a difficult chapter will never be forgotten.

Adam will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his sons, his family, and the many lives he touched.

After nearly 13 months of fighting, praying, and holding onto hope, Adam is finally at peace. We take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is now home with Jesus.

Until we meet again, Adam.

We love you and will miss you always.
