Agnes Adaline Hughes, 72 of Sheridan, Arkansas, gained her angel wings on April
3, 2023 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Born July 6, 1950 to William and Maedean McDaniel in Humnoke, Arkansas.
A 1968 graduate of Humphrey High School, Agnes made a career as a telephone
operator for Southwestern Bell and AT&T. She retired as a Reservations Specialist
for Southwest Airlines. Agnes was a gentle sweet soul. She loved animals, a good
TV show or movie, just sitting around visiting, and never missed an opportunity to
go to Walmart. Agnes had a contagious silly laugh and gave the best hugs, the
ones where you could feel the love and she would always lay her head on your
shoulder. She enjoyed taking trips with her family and was always up for an
adventure with her grandchildren.
Agnes was preceded in death by her father, William McDaniel and her sister,
Elizabeth Brixie.
She is survived by her Mother; Maedean McDaniel of Sheridan. Children; Melanie
Jane and Danny Coburn of Stuttgart, Robert Corey and Paula Hughes of Sheridan.
Grandchildren; Matthew and Tamatha West of Sheridan, Cassie and Shannon
Webb of Gerald, Mo., Kyler Hughes and Kaylei Vance, Kelsey and Robbie Terry, and
Kaleb Hughes all of Sheridan. Great Grandchildren; Braxtyn, Gracelyn, and Noah
West, Averie, Haven, and Ethan Webb, and Benson Hughes. Siblings; Wanda
McDaniel of Sheridan, Ronnie McDaniel of Bismarck, Tricia Lindley of Lonoke, and
Debbie McDaniel of Sheridan.
A Celebration of Life for Agnes will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in
Sheridan, AR on Monday April 17, 2023 at 10:30 am. Visitation to begin at 10am.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials can be made to your local animal shelter.
