Alvin Lee Hardin of Prattsville, Arkansas was born April 3, 1937 in the Prague Community, the son of the Jake and Lola Meeks Hardin. He was member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville and was a retired auto mechanic. He was a strong Christian and his faith was very strong. He was a cut up and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing indoor and outdoor games. His family said he had the patience of Job.
Mr. Hardin died at his home on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 84.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors: wife, M. Janette Hope Hardin of Prattsville; sons, Larry Lee (Carolyn) Hardin of Sheridan, Ronnie (Donna) Hardin of Donaldson; daughter, Kathy (JD) McCann of Thornton; sister, Pat Morris of Sheridan; sisters-in-law, Sharen Caldwell and Karen Gray; 9 grandchildren;13 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and church family.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pat
Greer, Bro. Vernon Bass and Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Harold Holiman, Brent Holiman, Paul Crutchfield, Brian Harrington, Jerry Hope, David Paxton, Robbie Caldwell, and Harold Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Harper, Edwin Carter , Ronald Holiman, and James Warren Keesee.
