Rev. Alvis Dickinson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born March 13, 1931 in Prescott, Arkansas the son of the late Johnnie Reese and Katherine Hardison Dickinson. He was a graduate of Truman High School and the Bible College having ministered at several churches including, Leola Assembly of God, Helena Assembly of God, Hampton Assembly of God and Paris Assembly of God. He was a member of Pine Bluff Assembly of God and he had worked for over 25 years as the manager of Shell Bulk Plant in Pine Bluff.

Rev. Dickinson died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 80.

Doris and husband Wilburn Burns of Temple, Texas;
4 grandchildren, John and wife Erica Dickinson; Russell and wife Tiffani Dickinson, David Dickinson and Kyle Dickinson;
, 5 great grandchildren, Tinleigh, Paisley and Presley; Mynni and Anna;

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Pine Bluff Assembly of God Church, 1002 Ridgeway Road, in Pine Bluff with Rev. Gary Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery at Sheridan. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m also at the church.

Pallbearers are John Dickinson, Russell Dickinson, David Dickinson, Kyle Dickinson, Howard Tucker and Charles Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons, Raymond Bryd, Gene Hughes, Curtis Marks, Pete Taylor and Trustees, Ty Farrer, David Harris, Brad Kappler, Jason Roberts and Gene Woodfield.
