Amanda Kay Coutant, 42, of Shreveport, LA, formerly of Hensley, AR, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Harmony House Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shreveport.

Cremation has been accorded as Amanda wished. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, July 15, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, AR.

Amanda (Mandy, as she was affectionately known) was born in Little Rock, AR, on February 15, 1982, to Daniel O. and Karen Reed Coutant. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 2000 and briefly attended Louisiana Tech University. Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Coutant and Karen Reed Coutant. She is survived by children, Matt Coutant-Spears of Shreveport, LA, and Aiden and Trey Coutant of Benton, LA. Other survivors include grandmother Velma Jean Reed of Sheridan, AR, uncles Greg (Kay) Reed and Bryan (Linda) Reed of Sheridan, AR, aunts Sharon (Joe) Scruggs of Rock Hill, SC, Paulette (Ed) Hogan of LaFollete, TN, and Cindy (Roy) Gierth of Arkadelphia, AR., and special friends in Louisiana, Kevin Spears and Debbie Brakeville. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America
