Obituary

Anita Jeffcoat Walters, 67, of Redfield, Arkansas passed away December 26, 2022 surrounded by her family.  Anita was born January 4, 1955 in Pine Bluff, the daughter of the late Claibourne and Reba Jeffcoat. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1973,and married her husband Dan Walters on June 7, 1974.

She was a member of Redfield Missionary Baptist Church and had retired after 30 years of service from the Corp of Engineers in 2010.

She was very talented. She loved to paint, work with flowers and ran her own florist from her house for many years. She was an avid hunter, qualified for many Arkansas Game and Fish Triple Trophy Awards and called up many gobblers for her husband and grandsons. In recent years, "Mimi" could always be found at a ballfield, gym or band concert supporting her grandchildren.

Anita is survived by her husband, 3 children, Aaron Walters (Rebecca), Tara Derby (Charles), Matthew Walters; grandchildren, Morgan Walters, Gunner Walters, Holly Simonetti (Grayson), Brodie Derby, Braxton Derby, Bryce Derby, Lilly Perkins, Harley Wilson, Anthony Wilson; brother, Mike Jeffcoat (Elaine); sister Linda Owens and a great grandson, Lane Simonetti.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Jacob Cemetery with Bro. Chris Gage officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gunner Walters, Brodie Derby, Braxton Derby, Bryce Derby, and her brothers-in-law, Doug Walters, Dennis Walters and Dwayne Walters.
