Ann Bates Burris of Redfield, Arkansas was born April 25, 1941 at Russellville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Elvona Lyon Bates. She was a member of Redfield United Methodist Church. The joy of her life, was spending time with her family, and she never missed an opportunity to brag on them.
Mrs. Burris died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Hospice Homecare in Little Rock, at the age of 77. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 44 years, George W. Burris, Jr., who died in 2005.
Survivors include her daughters, Becky Harrington and husband Bud of Redfield, Kathy Burl and husband Greg of Hensley; brother, Art Bates of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Eli Harrington and wife Amber, Kayla Smith and husband Wessley, Brad Burl and wife Marcia, and Tom Burl; great grandchildren, Emma, Gracie and Sadie Smith, and McKenzie Burl. She is also survived by a host of other family members, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Doug Burris officiating. Burial will be in Redfield Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
