Anna Myrtle Ritchey Bean of Prattsville, Arkansas was born March 12, 1920 in Prattsville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Edna Myrtle Hope Ritchey. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville, where she served her Lord faithfully. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, handwork, gardening, and cooking for her family.

Mrs. Bean passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab Center at the age of 95.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Billy" Bean; brothers, George, Arthur, Carl, Calvin, Julius, Charles, Bruce and Lawrence Ritchey; sisters, Gilla Binning and Sarah Ray.

Survivors: son, David and wife Donna Bean of Prattsville; daughters, Jane and husband Marvin Helms of Arkadelphia, Suzanne and husband Jim Smith of Sherwood; brother, Ralph and wife Barbara Ritchey of Ridgeville, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Doris Ritchey of Pine Bluff; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville with Bro. Jim Smith, Bro. Don Goodman, and Bro. Neal Pumphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
