Annie John Garrison Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 21, 1934 in Carthage, the daughter of the late John and Annie Fenison Garrison. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, painting and teaching ceramics, cooking for her family, doing word searches daily and reading her Bible.

Ms. Smith passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 88.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Smith, brother, Lester Garrison, sister, Cloytne Smith sons-in-law, Walter Benton, Larry Pilkington, granddaughter, Tammy Benton, great grandson, Phoenix Benton.

Survivors are her daughters, Annette Benton, Donna Carol Pilkington both of Sheridan, Diane(David)
Givens of Malvern; son by choice, Tom Carder of Alexander; 5 grandchildren, Clay Benton, Gary Brown, Faith Boatright, Mary Carder and Robin Cotten; and a host of great and great great grandchildren as well nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Cypert and Bro. Tom Carder officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dustin Morrison, Collin Boatright, Bryce Boatright, Jonathan Funderburg, Austin McClure, Clay Benton, and Joel Carder.
