Autry Dale "Carl" Carlton, Sr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born on November 18, 1932, at Prescott, Arkansas, the son of the late Eddie and Dollie Mattison Carlton. He died on August 15, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 76 years. He was retired from the United States Air Force; was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan, and was also retired from Siemens Company.

Survivors are his wife, Lavinia Sue Laws Carlton of the home

3 Special nephews: Jeff, James and Wayne Carlton
6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Pamela, Heather, Amanda and Ashley.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 2 PM at North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan with Rev. Jon Cox officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jeff Carlton, James Carlton, Wayne Carlton, Dana Humphrey, Bobby Green and Howard Pearson.
