Priscilla Barbara Cypert Beard of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 15, 1944 in Little Rock, the daughter of the late Thomas Carl Cypert, Sr. and Julia Katilius Cypert. She was a much loved employee at Walmart in Sheridan for over 26 years, and was known and loved by the entire community. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at Lake Ouachita. She was also an avid collector of Hot Wheels cars. Barbara was a true Prayer warrior, and her tremendous faith in God, guided each step she took in life. She was always concerned about others and was one of the most generous people you'd ever meet. Barbara was the matriarch of her Christian family, and although her Home-going is so very difficult, there is no doubt that she is in the presence of her Jesus today.

Mrs. Beard died Monday, January 12, 2015 at her home in Sheridan at the age of 70. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Thomas Cypert, Jr. and Oscar Leo Cypert, and a sister, Frances Nell Knowles.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Bobby Beard of Sheridan; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Holly Beard of Poyen, Jason and Tonya Beard of Prattsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Clay Burnett, and Lisa and James Chapman, all of Prattsville; brothers, David and wife Debbie Cypert of Conway, Don and wife Tracy Cypert of Little Rock; sisters, Erma Thompson of Little Rock, Julia Pierce of Conway; grandchildren, Jordan Burnett, Matthew Burnett, Michael Burnett, Caleb Burnett, Parker Beard, Korbin Beard, Chloe Beard, Sophie Beard; a host of other family members and countless numbers of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, near Sheridan. Visitation will also be Thursday, from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
