Barbara Jean Rhoden Davis of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 23, 1937 in the Prague Community, the daughter of the late Louis W. And Mary Fabry Rhoden. She was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a retired surgical and school nurse.

Mrs. Davis died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at her home at the age of 74 .

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Davis who she married April 23, 1955 in Hernando, Mississippi.

Survivors: Son, Alex Davis and wife Jodi of Sheridan;
Daughter, Nancy Paty and husband Scott of Sheridan;
Brothers, Phillip Rhoden and wife Linda of Sheridan;
Carroll Rhoden and wife Phyllis of Okolona;
3 grandchildren, Luke Paty, Noah Victoria Paty and Chase Davis as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Clenney officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Davis, Scott Davis, Jacob Rhoden, Jason Rhoden, Clay Rhoden and Clint Rhoden.
