Barbara Gail Burks Finley of Redfield, Arkansas was born November 27, 1948 in El Dorado, Arkansas the daughter of the late Walter Burks and Maxine McGough Cates. She was a member of Redfield Missionary Baptist Church and a 1966 graduate of Smackover High School.

Mrs. Finley died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at her home at the age of 63. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ritche Harbour.

Step-Sons, James and wife Tiffany Finley of Akron, Ohio; Patrick Finley of Germany;
Step-daughter, Christina and husband Eric Sassaman of Jacksonville, Florida;
Father, Ray Cates of Texarkana, Arkansas;
Sisters, Pat Harris and Debra Cates both of Texarkana, Arkansas,
Dewanda Looney of Smithville, Texas;
Grandchildren, Samantha Bennett, Callin Finley, Luke Finley, Emma Sassaman, Jacob Sassaman and Brandon Sassaman and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be at 12:30 P.M. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Redfield Missionary Baptist Church in Redfield with Bro. Michah Deaton officiating. Burial will follow at Redfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Partick Finley, Rod Harris, Kyle Adams, Hunter Adams, Dennis Flannigan and Terry Finley. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Finley and Bill Harbour.
