Barbara Caldwell Orr of Leola, Arkansas, was born April 1, 1949, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Doyle Clifton and Betty Hovermale Caldwell. She was a longtime and faithful member of Leola Missionary Baptist Church and spent her life working as a homemaker and, for many years, as an office manager. Barbara was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord with all her heart and trusted Him completely. She lived with a deep assurance that God was faithful, and now her faith has become sight. Barbara’s greatest gifts were her unwavering faith, her generous heart, and the love she poured into everyone around her.

Barbara had a way of making everyone she loved feel seen, supported, and deeply cared for. She was the kind of Momma and Nana who faithfully covered her family in prayer and was always there with encouragement when it was needed most. She found joy in the simple moments, made every adventure more memorable, and taught those around her to slow down long enough to appreciate the beauty along the way. Her wisdom was treasured, and her presence had a way of making even ordinary days feel special. She loved sharing in the things that brought others joy—gathering around a meal, spending an afternoon together, or simply sitting and enjoying one another’s company. As a Nana, she took tremendous pride in her grandchildren and loved them with her whole heart. More than anything, Barbara was someone who could be laughed with, talked to, leaned on, and counted on. She had the biggest heart and loved and cared for others deeply. She was resilient, selfless, and compassionate, always putting others before herself and giving freely of her time, love, and heart. Above all, Barbara was a faithful servant who loved her Lord and Savior. Her faith was woven into the way she lived, loved, and cared for others. God blessed those who knew Barbara with an incredible Momma, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Her beautiful life, generous love, and unwavering faith leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Barbara went to be with her Lord peacefully at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 77.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Paul Orr; her sister, Beth Evans; brothers-in-law, Jim Orr and David Helm; sister-in-law, Joy Mullens; niece, Amy Orr; and nephew, Brian Diemer.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Scott) Keller of Gunter, TX, and Sharon Previtte of Poyen, AR; her grandchildren, Kaden, Kylee, and Ashland; her brothers, Doyle Wayne (Vickie) Caldwell of Memphis, TN, Steve (Margaret) Caldwell of Leola, AR, and Jim (Jan) Caldwell of Sheridan, AR; her sister-in-law, Jo Helm of Leola, AR; beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many dear and cherished friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Leola Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dustyn Lewis and Bro. Johnie Brewster officiating. Interment service will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Leola. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Pallbearers are Kaden Keller, Michael Caldwell, Brandon Caldwell, Lance Caldwell, Blake Evans, Jake Lee, John Priebe, and Greg Summers.
