Barney Dean Dial of Leola, Arkansas was born December 6, 1934 in Leola, the son of the late Williams Jennings Bryan Dial and Ruby Roberts Dial. He worked for 50 plus years as a machine operator for HG Toler's Mill in Leola. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, raising chickens and pigs. He was an avid fox hunter and he loved spending time with his boys, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dog Sissy.
Mr. Dial died at his home on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the age of 86. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survivors: wife of 60 years, Ava Jo Welch Dial of Leola; sons, Michael (Kim) Burton of Hot Springs, Larry (Ruth) of Leola; Jimmy Dial of Leola, David Dial of Leola; sisters, Gladys Powers of Pine Bluff, Sue (Howard) Easterling of Leola, Janette Miller of Sheridan, Ruby Lee Young of Star City, Reba (Fady) Berry of Sheridan; grandchildren, Derrick Burton of Leola, Jeffrey (Paige) Burton of Leola, Jessie (Amber) West of Jefferson, Shelby (Corey) Brown of Arkadelphia, Dagen (Freddie) Dial of Sheridan; 5 great grandsons, 6 great granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Tulip Cemetery near Leola with Bro. Vance Nutt officiating. Visitation will be at the cemetery from 9:30 until service time.
Pallbearers are Michael Burton, Jessie West, Todd Easterling, Jimmy Dial, Larry Dial, David Dial, and Dagan Dial.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Home Health and Kindred Hospice and his 3 personal caregivers, Candi Williams, Shelby Dial Brown and Freddie Hicks for the love and care provided for Barney.
