Beauford Ray "Biff" Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 31, 1951 in Fairfield, California, the son of the late Shelton Truitt and Hazel Geraldine Gimlin Smith. He was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and had served in the US Army as a military police, having been stationed in Germany. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being in the woods. His greatest love was for his family, especially his grandbabies.

He had worked for 19 years for Brighton Trinity Industries and had retired after 21 years of service from Custom Metals where he was an excellent boss.

He was a jack-of-all trades, could fix or fabricate anything and secretly loved to watch HGTV and bake delicious cakes.

Biff died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 67.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Larry Harris, a nephew, Auston Harris and his mother-in-law, Ardith Harper.

Survivors: wife, Dee Ann Harper Smith of Sheridan; sons, Brad Smith of Sheridan, Justin (Rebecca) Smith of Sheridan, Jayson (Hailey) Hefner of Malvern, Garrett Smith of Sheridan; daughters, Joy (Ryan) Thomas of Asia, Jill (Chase) Buie of Prattsville, Keagan (Matthew) Womble of Bryant; brother, Danny (Mickie) Smith of Sheridan; sister, Bonnie Harris of Sheridan; grandchildren, Anthony, Hollis, Erin, Hosanna, Haddon, Josiah, Elliana, Elijah, Eli, Ezra, Emmitt and one on the way; father-in-law, Virgil Harper of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.
