Ben Elbert Lites, 68, of Grapevine and Pine Bluff, AR died September 30, 2016. He was born October 18, 1947 to J B and Virginia Reynolds Lites. He was preceded in death by his father, J B Lites.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Jo Ard Lites, daughter Jodie Lites Young, husband Mike and their children Will and Kate, daughter Dee Ann Lites Huffman, husband Ben and their children, Olivia and Emily, all of Conway. He is also survived by his mother Virginia Lites of Grapevine and sister, Renee Hix of Grapevine.

Ben was a retired carman from Cotton Belt Railroad after 35 years of service. He was a Mason and member of Taylor Lodge 206. He was a faithful member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church for over 49 years. He was a wonderful son, husband, dad, grandpa and friend. His family was his pride and joy.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, AR. Funeral service will be 10:00am on Monday morning at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton, Bro. John Mark Williams, and Bro. David Hiblong officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Jefferson County.

Pallbearers are Mike Young, Ben Huffman, Will Young, Bill Huffman, Don Huffman, Gary Don Hix, Dean Mitchell and Joe Ward. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Bearden, Albert Easter, Jerry Crutchfield, Wayne Taylor, Billy Rex Morrison and Kenny Ashcraft.
