Bennie Carroll Talbert of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 28, 1938 in Dallas County, Arkansas, the son of the late Thomas Carroll and Rachel Key Talbert. He was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and formerly served in the United States Air Force. Bennie was retired from Winston LP Gas in Sheridan after many years of service. Bennie was well known, and well thought of in his community, but his eyes were fixed on Heaven, and we rejoice that He's with Jesus.
Mr. Talbert died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Sheridan, at the age of 83. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Talbert; brothers-in-law, Billy Autrey, Al Alexander; sisters-in-law, Jackie Croy, Evelyn Marshall; nephew, Craig Autrey.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Carolyn Croy Talbert, who he married March 2, 1962; daughter, Beth Talbert; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Karen Talbert; sister-in-law, Marilyn Autrey; brother-in-law, Johnny Marshall; all of Sheridan; sister, Martha Alexander of Little Rock. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and countless numbers of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Brent Williams and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation is also Wednesday, from 9:00-10:00 A.M.
Pallbearers are his nephews: Jon Marshall, Carey Autrey, Don Talbert, Quinn Autrey, Taylor Autrey, Steve Talbert. Carolyn and Beth also want to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the kind, caring, and compassionate staff at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehabilitation, for loving Bennie, and them, so much.
The family requests due to sensitive medical conditions, that masks be worn by those attending the visitation and service.
