Bernice Smith Shellnut of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 11, 1929 at Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mary Elizabeth White Smith. She was a member of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Shellnut died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, L.D. Shellnut of Sheridan

Daughters: Barbara and husband Billy Shumate of Scottsville, Kentucky

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gale Umholtz, Bro. Lance Walker, and Bro. Jerry Miller officiating.
