Betty Pearl Bateman Nance of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 12, 1925 at Etta, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Odell and Ruby Marie Payten Bateman. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a retired LPN. Betty enjoyed fishing, crocheting, sewing, reading, and taking care of her family.

Mrs. Nance died Friday, December 18, 2009 at her home in Sheridan at the age of 84. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Doy, Billy, Pat, and Steve Nance and grandchildren, Gail Coats, Tommy Nance and Cody Cason.

Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Card of Nevada, Marie Moring of Florida and Brenda Burns of Florida; Sons, Roy Nance of Nevada and Troy Nance of Nevada; A host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, #1 Children's Way, Slot 661, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
