Betty Williams Peck Gentry of Sheridan, was born in Bearden, Arkansas on October 20, 1925, the daughter of the late John Henry and Carrie McCann Williams. She died on October 22, 2005 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 80 years.
She was a graduate of Northwestern University with a Master's Degree in Music; a retired music teacher for the Little Rock School District; a member of First United Methodist Church in Sheridan; and the widow of William Basyl Gentry.
Survivors: 2 sons, John C. (Wife-Terri) Peck of Sheridan;
Robert S. (Wife-Nell) Peck of Warner-Robbins, Georgia:
3 step-children: Larry Gentry, Ronald Gentry and Janis Gentry Overstreet.
5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Reverend Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home-Sheridan on Monday evening from 5 until 8 PM. Pallbearers are Charles Creech, Dempsie Binkley, Jim Phillips, J.D. Drayton, Brent Reichenbach and Russell Baxter.
