Betty Wilene Whitaker Walker of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 8, 1937 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Willis and Flora Belle Stone Whitaker. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and had worked for many years as a Wal-Mart Associate.

Mrs. Walker died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 71.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Walker and a son, Fillmore Douglas Walker.

Brothers, Dickey Whitaker and wife Louise;
Rickey Whitaker and wife Linda, all of Sheridan;
Brother in law, Romie Walker and wife Donna of Cabot;
Sister, Kathleen Brewer and husband Joe of Sheridan;
Granddaughter, Destiny Martin of Sheridan

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro.Allen Haygood, Bro. Brad Warren and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Craig Autrey, Carey Autrey, Butch Davis, Cole Davis, James Roberts and Ray Vance.

The family will be at the home of Kathleen Brewer, 58 Grant 4623, Sheridan.
