Beunah Ann Pruitt Benfield of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 17, 1928 in Dabney, Arkansas, (Van Buren County), the daughter of the late George Washington and Selena Bridges Pruitt. She was a member of Hope Pentecostal Church in Sheridan.

Mrs. Benfield died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 88.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Benfield, brothers, Leemon, Andy, Porter, Coy, Tilmon, Doyle, Darse and Baby Pruitt; sisters, Florence Price, Beulah Haley and Lois Sutton.

Survivors: son, Edwin (Eddie) and wife Dorothy Benfield of Sheridan; granddaughter Melissa and husband Raymond Plummer of Branson, Missouri; grandson, Tim and wife Gwynne Benfield of Sheridan; great grandchildren, Ryan Benfield, Kendra Plummer, Austin Plummer, Maria and husband John Schulte, Thomas Plummer, Darin Plummer, Karley Plummer, Sabrina Plummer and Christopher Plummer; great great grandchildren, Bentley Plummer and Brinley Plummer; brother-in-law, J.B. Haley of Morrilton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.


Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Pennington and Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Pruitt, Charles Andy Pruitt, James (Hughie) Pruitt, Leland Pruitt, Carl Benfield and Jerry Smith.
