William "Bill" Cantrell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 8, 1939 at Cartersville, Georgia, the son of the late Mose and Thelma Brown Cantrell. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired after 34 years from International Paper. Bill was a member of the Central Antique Machinery Club and the Cartersville 50's Car Club.

Mr. Cantrell died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at his home near Sheridan at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dakota Cantrell.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Staton Cantrell of Sheridan; son, Sean Cantrell of Sheridan; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Robert Rushing of Woodlawn; brother, Ellis Cantrell of Cartersville, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Edwin Matthews of Rome, Georgia; grandchildren, Kelsey, Tyler, and Casi.

Public visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2008, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. A private burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central Arkansas Antique Machinery Club, c/o C.S. Walker, 67 Grant 748, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
