William Roberts Whiting of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 22, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of the late Francis P. And Dorothy Roberts Whiting. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheridan and had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been a fish farmer and owner of Clearwater Farms and was also a resort owner in Canada, which specialized in hunting and fishing.

Mr. Whiting died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center at the age of 78.

Daughters, Diana Henson and her boyfriend Marshall Jacobs of East End;
Lori and husband Larry Kindy of East End;
Julie and husband Jeff Beliew of Sheridan;
Brother, Harry Whiting, II of Greers Ferry;
Sister, Elizabeth Howell of Jonesboro;
Grandchildren, Angela Taylor, Cody Kindy, Erin Kindy and Salina Henson.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Sheridan with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
