Willene Mae "Billie" Koon of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 6, 1930 at San Bernadino, California, the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Maude Mae Duncan Koon. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan and had formerly worked as mill worker for a lumber company.

Ms. Koon died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 80. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Luther H. Koon and William H. Koon and a sister, Anna Louise Ford.

Survivors include her sister, Carolyn Sue Smith of Sheridan; nephews, Glenn E. Ford of Sheridan, Ronald and wife Sheila Koon of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Scott Childers of Sheridan; nieces, Jo Foss and husband Ron of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jeanine Pearson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Carolyn Annette Vanlandingham and husband Terry of Mabelvale; great nieces, Lisa Ann Ford of Prattsville, Tonya Gibson and husband Wayne of Grapevine; great nephew, Michael Ford of Sheridan; great great niece, Kaylee Louise Gibson; great great nephew, Dakota Freeman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Jon Cox officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, at the Crossroads Community, just south of Sheridan. Visitation: Wednesday, 5:00-7:00 P.M.
