Billie Ann Mathis Cole of Little Rock, Arkansas was born February 6, 1935 at Plainview, Arkansas the daughter of the late Otto and Lucy Elizabeth Lipsey Mathis. She was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church where she worked for over 30 years. She was also a former President of the East End Elementary PTA.

Mrs. Cole died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 73.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Cole, a son James "Jimbo" Cole, a brother R.B. Mathis and sisters Ruth Patterson and Sarah Ella Mathis.

Brothers, Orlan Mathis of Camden;
Duell Mathis and wife Irma of Eureka Springs;
Grandchildren: Nicholas Cole; Lindsey Mason; Zachary Cole; Tyler Cole and Lauren Cole;
Great grandchildren; Kevyn Cole, Lukas Cole, Madoline Cole and Keegan Mason.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 25, 2008 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation: 5-7 PM Sunday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Blaine Mason, Zachary Cole, Tyler Cole, Mark Reynolds, Joe Boyd, Teddy Cole, Donald Brooks and Lynn Schatz.
