Billy Gene Autrey of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 23, 1939 at Leola, the son of the late Bill and Dollie Brashears Autrey. He was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church, was formerly in the Arkansas National Guard, and was retired from International Paper after 38 years of service. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and was known as "Coach" by many former Little League players. The most important thing in Billy's life was his love for his family and he showed that every day of his life.
Mr. Autrey died Friday, May 25, 2007 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melva Harris.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Marilyn Croy Autrey of Sheridan;
Sons and Daughters-in-law: Billy Joe and Jennifer Autrey of Camden,
Craig and Danielle Autrey of Sheridan, and Carey and Angie Autrey of Sheridan;
Sisters: Betty and husband Earl Paty, Jr. of Sheridan,
Virginia Garrison of Sheridan;
Grandchildren: Justin, Aaron, Mason, Taylor, Brent, Zoie, Quinton, Alyssa, and Cara.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00-5:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 28, 2007 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Dennis Holmes and Pastor Dick Ware officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery near Sheridan.
