Obituary
Billy Ray Downen, of Sheridan, was born in Gould, Arkansas on March 15, 1948, the son of Vernie May Anders Downen and the late Edward Howard Downen. He died on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 58 years.
He was a self-employed accountant, a veteran of the Army having served in Viet Nam, and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a son, Thad Downen.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Brian Edward Downen, MD and his wife, Jamie, both of Greencastle, Indiana and
Two sisters: Martha Mayhugh and Joyce Taylor, both of Sheridan;
Grandson, Caden Thomas Downen
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sam Adkins officiating. Burial in Lost Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
