Obituary

Billy Joe Ellis of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 10, 1943 in Brinkley, Arkansas the son of the late Walter and Bertha Mae Trantham Ellis. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sheridan where he was a member of the Men's Sunday School class. He had formerly served in the United States Air Force Reserves and enjoyed deer hunting. His greatest joy in life was being a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family that he loved so dearly.

Mr. Ellis died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 67.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Krutsch.

Survivors: Wife, Meri Edith Ellis of Sheridan;
Son, Mark Bryan Ellis and wife Nancy Birdwell Ellis of Cabot;
Daughter, Donna Lynn Ellis Culpepper and husband Landon Heath Culpepper of Perry, Georgia;
Brother, Tommy Ellis and wife Betty of Booneville;
Sister, Betty Bramucci and husband Joe of Earle;
Brother-in-law, Richard Krutsch of Forrest City;
Grandchildren, Clayton, Nathan and Lindsey Ellis and Christian Culpepper;

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at First United Methodist in Sheridan with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. at Forest Park Cemetery at Forrest City, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jim Evans, Darren Watkins, Steve Myers, Robert Porterfield, Joe Bob Pumphrey and Ken Wallace.
