Obituary

Billy Joe Rundell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 24, 1951 in Sheridan, the son of the late Charles R Rundell, Sr. and Hazel Brown Rundell. He currently attended First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, and was a graduate of Sheridan High School and Pines Vo-Tech. He had worked for Sears and Roebuck, International Paper Company and was a volunteer fireman in Sheridan for 20 years and was instrumental in securing the first rescue vehicle for the department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling to his favorite area, Hawaii.

Billy Joe died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his home at the age of 71.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Kaye Rundell; brother, Charles Rundell, Jr. and a sister, Judy Diane Rundell.

Survivors: wife of 48 years, Charlotte Smith Rundell; sisters, Linda (Chester) Hawkins, Peggy Rundell, Darlene Carder (Jerry) all of Sheridan; his beloved dogs, Gizzy and Lucy and many nieces, nephews and friends who will all miss him greatly.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April !0, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Hill and Bro. John Mooney officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Grant County Animal Shelter.
