Billy Roy Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 26, 1949 in Prattsville, Arkansas, the son of the late Theodore E. and Ruby Lee Kelley Smith. He was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville and had retired after 20 years from the United States Air Force having served during Vietnam. He was an avid collector of coins, and movies. He enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, fishing and donating to various charities.

Billy died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 69.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James "Doyle" Smith and a nephew, James Derrell Smith.

Survivors: brother, Jimmy Darrell Smith of Little Rock; sister, Peggy Lee Smith of Sheridan and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2019    at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville with Bro. Robert Ewing officiating. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M.

After the service, the family will gather at the home of Kelley and Mary Kathrine Smith, 466 Wisteria Drive, Bauxite, AR 72011.

Pallbearers are Kelley Smith, Mike Smith, Neil Smith, Ronnie Henderson, Jeff Young and James Nolen. Honorary pallbearer is Ricky Kelley.
