Obituary

Billy Gray "Ball" Wilson was born June 3, 1930 to Carl and Hazel Lutrell Wilson at Rison, Arkansas. A 1949 graduate of Rison High School, he went to work in 1950 for the Cotton Belt Railroad as a Carman where he retired in 1992 after 42 years of services.

He passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at UAMS at the age of 82.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Easley Wilson whom he married in 1950, four children, Mike Wilson (Nancy) of Grapevine, Debbie Gathright (Gary) of North Little Rock, Clay Wilson (Cindy) of Cabot, and Rod Wilson of Little Rock, sisters, Ann Ashcraft (William) of Grapevine, Pat Williams (Hubert) and Joyce Hankins (Vernon) of Woodlawn, Brother, Donnie Wilson (Mary) of Rison.

He was a member and trustee of Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church, long time President of the Grapevine School Board and coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball in Sheridan for many years. He had 14 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church in Grapevine with Rev. C.C. Hodges and Rev. Jimbo Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Hedden Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Neal Gathright, David Wilson, Cole Wilson, Jared Wilson, Briar Wilson, Brodie Wilson and nephews, Dennis and Eddie Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sr. Sunday School Class at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church.
