Brenda Maxine Tipton Lucas, 81, of Sheridan, Arkansas, passed away March 3, 2024.  She was born April 6, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Rev. Howard and Maxine Tipton.

Brenda worked many years as a clerk at the Sheridan United States Post Office, then moved on to become Postmaster at Kingsland, Hensley, Brinkley, and then Berryville, where she retired.  Brenda loved making a variety of crafts, oil painting, working in her yard, and shopping.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan, where her Daddy pastored in the late 50's and early 60's.

Brenda is preceded in death by her son, Curtis Jack Lucas; her brother, Michael Tipton; and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rodney Lucas of Alexander, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Nathan Lucas of East End, Arkansas, Paul Lucas of Cabot, Arkansas, Josh Lucas of Cabot, Arkansas, Kendall Lucas of Little Rock, Aiden Lucas of Sheridan, Arkansas, Alden Lucas of Sheridan, Arkansas,  Ashton Lucas of Sheridan, Arkansas,  Ava Lucas of Sheridan, Arkansas; her siblings, Darlene (Jim) Carson of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Bruce (Libbie) Tipton of Sheridan, Arkansas, Sarah (Donald) Clark of Sheridan, Arkansas , Steve Tipton of Little Rock, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 10:00 A.M. in the sanctuary of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan, Arkansas.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 A.M.
