Bro. H.W. "Rabbit" Ray of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 22, 1919 in Prattsville, Arkansas the son of the late James Joseph and Martha "Mattie" Douglas Ray . He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired Missionary Baptist minister having pastored several area churches including Orion Missionary Baptist Church, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church, and Ain Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a retired heavy equipment operator for Brown and Root Construction.

Bro. Ray died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Hot Spring County Medical Center in Malvern at the age of 87 .

5 grandchildren; Delaina Harris; Daniel Vanlandingham; Tanner Ray; Casidy Jackson and Hayden Ray; 1 great grandchild, Anna Harris

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 9:00 AM in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville, with Bro. Joseph C. Ray and Bro. Michael Walton officiating.
