Sherland Lavon "Bub" Clement of Grapevine, Arkansas was born July 8, 1944 at Pine Bluff , the son of the late Martin Lavon and Audra Ashcraft Clement. He had formerly worked at Pizza Hut in Benton for several years. For as long as he could, Bub never let his physical challenges keep him from living life to the fullest. He loved being outdoors, riding 4 wheelers and most of all, spending time with his family. He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him and through his life, he taught a valuable lesson of how love and determination could overcome great obstacles.

Bub died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Arkansas Health Center near Benton, at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Nancy Wafford and a brother-in-law, Alpha "Sonny" Helvey.

Survivors include his brothers, Keith and wife Susan Clement of Grapevine, Robert and wife Beverly Clement of Grapevine; sister, Martha Lowman and husband Euell of Sulphur Springs; brother -in-law, Dale Wafford; aunts, Marilyn Ashcraft of Sheridan and Doris Clement of Monticello; 11 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Jim Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be at Clement Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday. Memorials may be made to Clement Cemetery or Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church. Same address for both is 1816 Grant 192, Grapevine, Arkansas 72057.
