Everett Taylor "Buddy" Grace of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 8, 1937 in Pasttorie Community near Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Edwin and Elsie Taylor Grace. He was of the Baptist faith, had retired from International Paper Co. as a foreman, and had served in the National Guard at Grider Field in Pine Bluff for many years. Since 1966, he had been a member of Local 382, Operating Engineer Union and had numerous construction companies throughout his life. He enjoyed crappie fishing at Shouse Ford on Lake DeGray, and spending time with his family.
Buddy died at his home on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the age of 76.
Survivors: loving wife and caregiver for almost 55 years, Vera Funderburg Grace of the home; sons, Terry Grace of the home and Eddy Grace and Julie of Sheridan; brothers, Tommy and wife Elaine Grace, Jimmy and wife Denise Grace; sisters, Betty Woodmansee all of Pine Bluff and his dear sister-in-law who he called "Baby Doll" Peggy Goss of Bryant; beloved granddaughters, Maeson and Presley Grace of Sheridan and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Center Campground in the Prague Community.
Pallbearers are Bill Cathy, Tommy Grace, Jimmy Grace, Earney Funderburg, Johnny "John Boy" Kyzer, and Elijah Gene "Dunner" Funderburg, II. Honorary pallbearers are his granddaughters, Maeson and Presley Grace.
