Obituary

Carrie Halbert Humphries of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 24, 1918 at Prattsville, the daughter of the late John Henry and Eva Lee Morton Halbert. She was a homemaker, a charter member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan and most of all, a loving and devoted Mother. Mrs. Humphries was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Humphries and brothers, Loys, Rommy, Josh, Bill and Rupert Halbert.

Mrs. Humphries died March 31, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center at the age 87.

Survivors include:

Sons: Jerry Humphries and wife Pat of Sheridan and
John Humphries of Sheridan

Daughter: Pat Brown of Helena

6 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild

Sister-in-law: Ava Halbert of Star City

Memorials may be made to First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 402 West Center Street, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150 or Grant County Museum, 521 Shackleford Road, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan
with Bro. John Mooney officiating. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery, Prattsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Alan Quick, Jim Quick, J.J. Humphries, Mike Humphries, Tom Allen, Bill Lancaster, Glen Talbert and Carroll McCool. Visitation: Sunday, 2-4 P.M.
