Carroll Clayton Reed of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 22, 1946 in Chester, California the son of the late Oris Clayton and Geneva Crook Reed. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Sheridan, a retired firefighter Captain having 32 years of service, 32nd Degree Mason, and had also served in the United States Navy as a medic.  He also was an employee for 38 years on the Arkansas Livestock Commission. His favorite thing to do was teach the word of our Lord.

Mr. Reed died Friday, June 2, 2023 at Presbyterian Village in Little Rock at the age of 76.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Denise Sites.

Survivors: son, Brian Eric Mizer (Candace) of Hot Springs; daughter, Shannon Boone (Martin) of East End: 8 grandchildren, Brandon Felton, Haley Shaw, Sarah England, Jennie Wood, Brian Eric Mizer, Jr., Angelina Mazer, Jeremiah Shaw, Matthew Shaw; 7 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends,
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 9, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Feral West officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Grapevine. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 until service time.

Pallbearers are Chris Hall, Chris Red, Gene Red, Stacia Yancey, Brandon Felton, Matthew Shaw.
