Cecil Eugene York of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 29, 1943 in Lepanto, Arkansas, the son of the late Cecil Green York and Dorothy Lee Beasley York. He was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a millwright.
Cecil died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at his home at the age of 71.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, tinkering on old cars and trucks and bartering. He loved his kids and worshipped his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill York and a great granddaughter, Carson Standridge.
Survivors: Lee Hartwick York of Sheridan; sons, Scott and wife Tanya York of Haskell, Ricky York of Haskell, Joey and wife Stacy Everett of Sparkman; daughters, Sandi and husband Rusty Hawkins of Sheridan, Nikki and husband Steve Hunter of Wasilla, Alaska; brothers, Bobby and wife Denise York, Donnie and wife Joann York, and Danny York all of Pine Bluff; special friend, Bryce Eckersley of Sheridan, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A time of visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10:00 until noon at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
