Charles W. Lunsford of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 6, 1944 in Pine Bluff, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Lunsford and Alta Louise Worthen Lunsford. He was a member and deacon of Meadowview Baptist Church, a former deacon of Cedar Branch Missionary Baptist Church and Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He believed that you should always be in church, sick or not. He was a hardworking man who loved and provided for his family, sun up to sun down. He had previously been on the Center Grove Water Department Board and was owner/operator of Charles Lunsford Trucking for most of his working career.

Mr. Lunsford died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 78.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Blackerby Lunsford; sister, Debbie Clark; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Taylor Lunsford.

Survivors: wife of 47 years, Becky Young Lunsford of Sheridan; sons, Robert (Charlotte) Lunsford of Harrison, David (Stephanie) Lunsford of Brookland; John (Mandy) Lunsford of Sheridan; daughter, Kristi (David) Butcher of Sheridan; sister, Edith (Jerry) Oates of Hensley; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Ain Cemetery (4800 Hwy 35 South, Grapevine, AR) with Bro. Ron Sanders officiating. Visitation will be at Ain Church from 11:00 AM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowview Baptist Church, 9914 Highway 270 East, Sheridan, AR  72150.

The family would like to say a special thank you to all the people who visited, brought food and prayed for him during his time of sickness.
