Charles William Mead of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 29, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan, the son of the late William and Thelma Davidson Mead. He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church, had served in the US Army and was retired from General Motors. He enjoyed camping, trail hiking and flower gardening.

Mr. Mead died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 84.

Survivors: wife, Janie Walker Mead of Sheridan; sons, Andrew William Mead of Woodland, Oklahoma, David Charles Mead of Sheridan, Douglas Frank Mead of Little Rock; daughters, Esther Ledelle Mead of Sheridan, Susanna Kay Martin of Mabelvale, Janella Lynn Cooper of Redfield, Jennifer Marie Mead of Sheridan; 14 grandchildren, one of which, Mason Noah Kelly, was his special friend and caregiver, and 9 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Meadowview Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Micah McKinley officiating.
