Charles D. Mitchell, Sr. of Prattsville, Arkansas was born in Boughton, Arkansas on December 7, 1928 the son of the late D. Mitchell and Syble Morgan Mitchell. He was a Claims Manager for New Hampshire Insurance Company and later owner of Central Adjustment Company in Little Rock. He was a member of Sheridan Church of Christ and he had served in World War II in the Navy having been on the Aircraft Carrier Valley Forge.

Mr. Mitchell died at his home on October 24, 2007 at the age of 78.

Daughter, Lori Fisk and husband Mark of Chicago, Illinois;
Sister, Frances Hamilton and husband Billy D. of Little Rock;
Grandchildren, Kathryn; Robert; Jenny; Michael;
Great grandchildren, Jordan; Trey; Lauryn;
Nephew, Charles Dewayne Hamilton

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Sheridan Church of Christ with Joe Jones, Minister, Tom Warmack and Jerry Culbertson, Minister officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation: 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
