Charles Edward Mooney of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 17, 1942 at the Belfast Community, near Sheridan, the son of the late George Edward and Charlene Mittie Steele Mooney. He was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church, was a United States Navy Veteran and was formerly a truck driver. Charles had a love for music and especially playing the guitar.

Mr. Mooney died Friday, October 20, 2006 at the McClellan V.A. Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 64.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Mooney.

Survivors include a son, Randy and wife Melissa Mooney of Sparkman; Brothers, Ray Mooney of Sardis and Kenny Mooney of Sheridan; Sisters, Sharon Threlkeld of Sheridan, Linda Mooney of Calvin, Louisiana and Sarah Kay Crosswhite of Sheridan; Grandsons, USAF Airman Michael Mooney of Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas and Jonathan Mooney of Sparkman; A host of Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Great Great Nieces and Nephews and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Calvin Holmes officiating. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
