Charles Lynn "Pawpaw" Oliver of Redfield was born March 27, 1947 in Little Rock, the son of Gene Oliver and the late Dorris McKinney Oliver. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Sweet Home. He enjoyed taking care of his dogs, and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his side by side, turkey hunting, going to chuck wagon races, fishing, and catching fish and running nets at the Arkansas River.
Charlie died Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his home at the age 75, one day shy of his 76th birthday.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Casey Oliver and 2 of his dogs, Tina and Pooter.
Survivors: son, Grant Oliver of Redfield; daughter, Carrie (Ryan) Stanfield of Redfield; brother, Barry "Buck" Oliver of Fordyce; mother of his children, Brenda Oliver of Redfield; like a sister, Betty Uttrich of Conway; grandchildren, Taylor Lynn Aldridge-Dunn, Lexi Dunn, Hayden Stanfield, Addisson Stanfield, Cody (Charity) Oliver; 2 great grandchildren, Charlie Hobbs, Benjamin Casey Oliver; nieces, Katie (Aaron) Whitehead, Gail (Shannon) Lambert; nephew, Jackson Harper; his faithful companions, Augie Dogie, Scooter, Rooter, Hooter and many friends, cousins, and neighbors.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Family Church in Redfield with Bro. Dan McDonald officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00 until service time. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Milloway, Keith Stanley, Tom Tom Hughes, Larry Heavner, Glen Heavner, Tom Robinson, Sam Bentley, Jered Hooks.
The family would like to thank the staff at UAMS NSICU for the wonderful care he received and also to his caregiver, Hallie Keen and her daughter Katie Grace for the love and care they showed him.
