Charles Edward Reed II, 68 years old, of Sheridan passed away on November 9th, 2023 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Charles was born on March 19th, 1955 in West Bend, WI to the late Gerald Dean and Helen Marie Judd Reed.  Charles and his family moved to Arkansas where he proudly served his country with the Arkansas National Guard for 9 years.  He worked as an inside sales representative for Airgas, retiring in 2021 following a 40-year career with the company.  He was a member of Sheridan First Assembly of God Church and attended East Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Charles had two amazing grandchildren that were the center of his world.  He loved taking every opportunity to watch their activities and ball games.  Charles enjoyed many things, such as going to the movies, going out to eat, and watching his Arkansas Razorbacks and Green Bay Packers.  He was also an avid comic book and autograph collector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Coutant, and a step-brother, James Copeland.

Charles is survived by his son, Aaron (Jennifer) Reed of East End; daughter, Alisha McReynolds (David Snodgrass) of Benton; step-mother, Jean Reed of Sheridan; brothers, Greg (Sandra Kay) Reed of Sheridan, Bryan (Linda) Reed of Sheridan; sisters, Sharon (Joe) Scruggs of Rock Hill, SC, Cindy (Roy) Gierth of Arkadelphia; step-sister, Paulette Hogan; 2 grandchildren, Braden Reed and Jillian Reed; mother of his children, Denise Collins of East End; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Bobo officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are; Thomas Bradbury, Michael Chandler, Tim Collins, Mike Cope, Jerry Dimler, Larry Dimler, Mike Dollar, Justin Morris, Lee Morris, Mike Ray, Dominick Simmons, Moe Talley, DL Taylor, Michael Tiernay and Steven Veazey.
