Charles Christian Thirion III of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 17, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Charles Christian Thirion, Jr. and Minnie Mae Blenden Thirion. He had served in the United States Navy and was a retired wallpaper hanger. He enjoyed working on computers, quilting, working with leather, fishing, hunting and most of all, spending time with his family.

Mr. Thirion died Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 80.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Eugene Thirion, Barbara Welsh, Clarence Thirion, Larry Thirion, Marilyn Griffith and Cecilia Thirion.

Survivors: wife of almost 55 years, Loretta Behring Thirion of Sheridan; sons, Charles Edward (Seara) Pearson of Benton, Michael (Okevel Renee) Thirion of Bauxite, Shane (Amy) Thirion of Concord; daughter, Cheryel (Charlie) Horn of Benton; sisters, Mary Kathryn Scruggs of Scott, Nita (John) Markley of Mabelvale; 8 grandchildren, Marc Pearson, Kevin Pearson, Jessica Thirion, Caitlin Thirion, Alexander Thirion, Huntington Thirion, Hailey (Josh) Gray, Kourtney Thirion; great grandchild, Madden Gray and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
