Charles Franklin

November 5, 1935 – December 24, 2025
Charles Franklin Wilhite of East End, Arkansas was born November 5, 1935, in Oden, Arkansas, the son of the late Audy and Dolena Fryar Wilhite. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and worked as a truck driver for over 50 years. Charles was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church in East End as well as the Freemasons and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Charles enjoyed living the farm life and raised horses, miniature horses, cattle, chickens, and goats. A few years back he had decided to donate his last two miniature horses including one named Lilly who went to the Little Rock Zoo. Charles was a good man who loved his lord and loved his family, he will be dearly missed.
Charles passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the VA hospital in Little Rock at the age of 90.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Wilhite, Betty Severe, and Jane Cowart. He is survived by his wife of 15 years Carol Harrison Wilhite and his stepsons Dan and Joe Hitchcock.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday December 30, 2025, at East Union Missionary Baptist Church in East End, AR with Bro. Dennis Holmes officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time. The family would like to give a special thanks to the extraordinary care Charles received from the VA hospice care ward.
