Obituary

Charles Ray "Charlie" Miller, a lifelong resident of Arkansas, passed away on October 9, 2025, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.

Born on July 11, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Charlie grew up in Scott, Arkansas, with strong roots in faith, family, and hard work. He later made Sheridan his home, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Henrietta Miller; his sister, Patsy Marie Pflugrad; and his eldest son, Charles Shaun Miller.

Charlie is survived by his devoted wife, Gerry Ann Miller, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a life full of joy. He is also survived by his sons Travis (Donna) Miller and Wayne (Judy) Miller; grandchildren Adam, Shaun David, Katelyn, Kiley (Billy Wayne) Hill, and Tristan Miller; and one great-grandchild, Ella Rae Hill, who brought him endless happiness.

A successful business owner and respected member of the Sheridan community, Charlie was known for his integrity, sense of humor, and genuine kindness. He believed in treating people right, working hard, and helping others whenever he could. His friends and neighbors knew him as someone who could be counted on — whether it was to share advice, lend a hand, or simply brighten the day with a good story.

Above all, Charlie's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and doting grandfather who never missed an opportunity to show his love. His legacy will live on in the memories and values he passed down to those he cherished most.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2025 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.

Pallbearers are Tristan Miller, Adam Miller, Shaun David Miller, Billy Wayne Hill, Larry Ipock, and Thomas Mitchell. His grandchildren will be Honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis or Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock — two causes close to Charlie's heart.
